Molly’s journey to Jungle Friends wasn’t an easy one. She and Mike were once kept as “pets” in South Florida, and during the intense hurricane season of 2004, repeated storms caused significant damage to their enclosures. As conditions grew increasingly unstable, their future became uncertain. Thankfully, a compassionate neighbor stepped in, and with quick action from Jungle Friends’ founder, Molly and Mike were given a second chance.

When Molly first arrived, she required medication to manage hew diabetes. With attentive care, routine monitoring, and a carefully balanced diet, she now thrives without medication — a testament to her resilience and the stability she’s found in her new home.

Above all else, Molly treasures her bond with her brother Mike. The two are inseparable, often seen sharing treats, grooming one another, and keeping a watchful eye out for each other. Whether basking in the sunshine or curled up beside Mike, Molly’s calm presence is a gentle reminder of how patience, safety, and love can help even the shyest souls truly flourish.
