Xenon arrived at Jungle Friends as part of a special retirement group from the University of Georgia: seven capuchins leaving research behind for good. In those early days, he was gentle and a bit shy, taking his time to settle in and quietly observing the world from the safety of his new habitat. Even then, his sweet, dignified personality stood out, especially to caregivers who quickly discovered just how friendly and flirtatious this silver-faced gentleman could be.

As he grew comfortable, Xenon’s brilliance emerged. He’s one of the sanctuary’s most talented problem solvers, approaching enrichment puzzles with calm, methodical focus. Whether he’s figuring out the quickest way to a hidden treat or assessing a new toy with thoughtful precision, Xenon always seems a few steps ahead. His mind is sharp, his spirit steady, and his charm impossible to miss.

Today, Xenon enjoys life alongside his companion Tiki, and the two make a wonderfully balanced pair. While Tiki brings her own spark, Xenon contributes warmth, steadiness, and his signature flirty enthusiasm by raising his eyebrows, offering soft chirps, and greeting favorite caregivers with unmistakable old-man sweetness.

Now thriving in his peaceful sanctuary life, Xenon is proof that new beginnings can be gentle, joyful, and full of quiet magic.

Today, Xenon thrives in his sanctuary home with his friend Tiki and Jungle Friends is a place where his thoughtful nature and sharp mind are fully appreciated.
