Frankie is one of the sanctuary’s greatest comedians, both intentionally and unintentionally. Before arriving at Jungle Friends, he lived as a “pet” in Florida, but after repeated escape attempts and growing aggression (a natural response for a wild animal in a human home), his guardians realized he needed a real monkey life. That decision brought him to the sanctuary, where he could finally be himself, exactly what Frankie does best!

When Frankie is excited to see someone, he unleashes his full signature greeting: jumping up and down, flashing a huge, happy play face, and dramatically flopping backward, sometimes right onto a plant, before laying on his back for a round of enthusiastic bicycle kicks. It’s impossible not to laugh when Frankie’s in a good mood; he radiates joy like no one else.

He also loves wrestling and playing with his girlfriend, Annabelle. The two are an energetic, affectionate little duo, regularly turning their habitat into a romping, tumbling play zone. When they’re not goofing around, they settle into sweet grooming sessions, reinforcing their close-knit bond. From his comical greetings to his spirited play, Frankie is pure sunshine- an endlessly entertaining and lovable presence who brightens the day of anyone lucky enough to pass by!
