Annabelle’s story is one of the most dramatic glow-ups at Jungle Friends. Before her rescue, she spent nearly seven long years confined in a rusted cage inside an abandoned, mold-ridden trailer. With holes in the roof, little light, and only dirty rags for bedding, she often went without proper food or water. It was a heartbreaking beginning, but Annabelle’s spirit never gave up!

Once she arrived at Jungle Friends, everything changed. With steady care, fresh food and water, and a safe place to finally stretch her limbs, Annabelle blossomed into a bright, joyful, and wonderfully quirky little lady. She became a total health enthusiast, often choosing her vegetables first during meals as though she’s making up for all those years of going without. She also discovered her signature hobby: yoga! When Annabelle is excited to see someone, she flops into all kinds of dramatic, twisty poses- stretching, leaning, and lounging while flashing an adorable play face. Her “yoga sessions” are her way of saying, “I’m happy you’re here!” and they never fail to make her caregivers smile.

Best of all, Annabelle now shares her life with her partner, Frankie. The two lovebirds spend their days play-wrestling, grooming, and chasing each other around their habitat. Their bond is sweet, silly, and full of life, just like Annabelle herself! From rags to enrichment-filled riches, Annabelle’s journey shows just how much joy can bloom when a little monkey finally gets the love and freedom she always deserved.
