Pattycake

Species: Geoffroy's Marmoset
Background: Confiscation
Date of Birth: 12/15/2020
Arrival Date: 03/31/2025
Pattycake was confiscated by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service after a major federal investigation into illegal breeding and trafficking on the Dark Web. He was one of eight monkeys rescued on March 31, 2025. When he first arrived, he was by far the shyest of the group. He was so wary of people that he would refuse to eat if he knew someone was watching.

With patience, care, and time, Pattycake has blossomed. These days, he cannot resist a juicy orange slice, his absolute favorite, and he goes wild for mango nectar pods. Shortly after his arrival, he was paired with Calla, another marmoset from his group, and the two have been inseparable ever since.

Life with Calla has helped Pattycake gain confidence. He has come out of his shell more than ever before, spending his days running and playing in his outdoor habitat, enjoying time with Calla, and sometimes even getting into playful arguments with his neighbors. His transformation from timid to trusting makes him a true Jungle Friends success story.
