With a personality as big as the Florida sky, Chris is the life of the party at the sanctuary. He’s known for hanging dramatically from the side of his habitat and loudly demanding the spotlight. Chris’s flair for the theatrical is matched by his curiosity; he spends much of his day calling out to the other monkeys in neighboring habitats, ensuring no one forgets he's around.

Chris shares his spacious outdoor home with Xenon, his longtime companion from their days at the University of Georgia lab. The pairing has turned out to be perfect, especially since Xenon can be a bit dominant. Chris’s easygoing, social nature balances things out, and the two have settled into their new life together quite well.

New faces don’t go unnoticed by Chris, who has a keen interest in visitors. He communicates with an endearing tilt of his head and occasionally greets newcomers with a distinctive high-pitched scream. His playful spirit shines through as he carries a ball around like a prized possession, and he’s often found perched high above, surveying his surroundings with the air of a king. Under the warm Florida sun, Chris has taken on a healthy tan, his coat glowing with a newfound handsomeness. Life at the sanctuary clearly agrees with him.
