After enduring 12 long years in a laboratory, Clotho finally arrived at Jungle Friends with her best friend, Atropos. The larger of the two, with distinctive tufts of hair on her head, Clotho couldn't wait to explore. The moment the doors of their transport cage opened, she and Atropos made a beeline for the monkey bars – a favorite spot for many sanctuary residents.

Brave and curious, Clotho quickly warmed up to her new surroundings, even approaching humans for treats. Within a single day, she had explored every inch of her "Almost Wild" habitat and mastered the intricate runway system like a pro.

After losing her longtime friend Atropos in 2024, Clotho found companionship again with Chris – the sanctuary's resident showman known for his dramatic flair and endless curiosity. With Chris's playful energy and Clotho's adventurous spirit, the two make a lively pair, often seen climbing, calling out to neighbors, and soaking up the Florida sunshine together.

Clotho's name holds a deeper meaning – she was named after one of the Three Fates in Greek mythology, the one who spun the thread of life for all mortals. Her story is a powerful reminder that even after hardship and loss, new threads of connection and joy can always be woven.
