This spunky brown capuchin arrived at Jungle Friends in 2019 after a whirlwind rescue in Chicago, where she was found making headlines at an ambulance garage. With no legal owner able to claim her, the city’s animal control team made the compassionate decision to place her in the care of a primate sanctuary where she could live a safe, enriched life among other monkeys.

Daisy’s cross-country journey to Jungle Friends included car rides, a private plane, and a fresh start in the Florida sunshine. And from the moment she set foot in her new habitat, Daisy made it clear she was ready to run the show.

Clever, playful, and always plotting her next bit of mischief, Daisy is endlessly entertaining. She’s notorious for knowing exactly what you want, and keeping it just out of reach. She’s also got a major thing for cameras. The moment a lens appears, Daisy is front and center posing, inspecting, and occasionally trying to commandeer the equipment. It's Daisy’s world after all, and we’re just trying to get a focused shot in it.

Though she’s small in stature, Daisy has a larger-than-life presence. Whether she’s chasing down new enrichment or keeping her companion Leo on his toes, she brings unstoppable energy and joy to every corner of her “Almost Wild” habitat.
