Dexter, an adorable capuchin, made his entrance to Jungle Friends on Independence Day 2015. He was just a young monkey, not even two years old, when he arrived.

Recognizing Dexter's need for companionship, his caring humans embarked on a long journey from Kansas to bring him to the sanctuary for better socialization. His devoted family even stayed a few extra days, visiting and reassuring him that Jungle Friends was a safe and loving new home.

Today, Dexter is happy and thriving. Known as The Playful Prankster, he loves to wrestle, stir up fun, and keep life exciting. Best of all, he now shares his days with his companion, Tete! Together, the two make a lively and endearing pair – balancing Dexter's playful energy with Tete's graceful presence.
