When Xenon arrived at the sanctuary, he was part of a special retirement group from the University of Georgia—seven capuchins who had spent years in research. Alongside him was Chris, a lively and somewhat overbearing companion who often overshadowed Xenon’s more reserved nature. In those early days, Xenon was shy, cautiously exploring his new surroundings under the Florida sun. But even in the shadow of Chris’s raucous energy, Xenon’s kind and affable spirit quietly shone through.

Life at the sanctuary took an unexpected and heartwarming turn with the arrival of two female capuchins, Atropos and Clotho, also retired from research. These two newcomers were placed right next door to Xenon and Chris, and soon, a subtle spark of romance began to flicker. Xenon was introduced to Atropos, and a gentle, mutual affection blossomed. Chris found his match in Clotho, and the two pairs settled into a new rhythm, living side by side and savoring their second chance at happiness.

Xenon quickly became known as one of the sanctuary’s most intelligent residents. His remarkable problem-solving skills set him apart—whether it’s mastering complex enrichment puzzles or devising clever ways to access hidden treats, Xenon is always several steps ahead. He navigates his world with a quiet confidence, earning the admiration of both his fellow capuchins and the sanctuary staff.

Today, Xenon thrives in his sanctuary home with his friend Tiki and Jungle Friends is a place where his thoughtful nature and sharp mind are fully appreciated.
