Penny's journey took a fortunate turn when authorities discovered her in a Craigslist ad in Kentucky, priced at 0 for the exotic pet trade, a practice illegal in the state. This led to her rescue and subsequent arrival at Jungle Friends at the tender age of two.

Now, Penny has a whole lifetime ahead of her to relish her "Almost Wild" existence. The next adventure for Penny involves introducing her to Bobo, who joined the Jungle Friends family just a month before her. Positioned in neighboring habitats, they've been playfully mirroring each other, moving from their outdoor spaces to indoors and back again.
