Marylou's journey to Jungle Friends began on October 24, 2018, and what a journey it's been! Originally purchased as a pet when she was just a few weeks old, her guardians quickly realized that she wasn't cut out for domestic life. After a few detours-including a brief stay at the Primate Rescue Center and some help from our friends at Peaceable Primate Sanctuary-baby Marylou finally arrived at her forever home at Jungle Friends, where her big personality could truly shine.

Now all grown up, Marylou is a total spitfire. Sassy, spirited, and full of energy, she doesn't just walk into a room-she owns it. She's always the first to make her opinions known (often with a signature threat face for dramatic effect), and she's not one to back down from a little mischief.

Whether she's zipping through her habitat or playfully taunting her caregivers with a game of chase, Marylou keeps the energy high and the fun nonstop. She has a huge love for snacks of all kinds and will happily show off her bold personality when treats are on the line. And when it's time to wind down? Marylou prefers to curl up in one of her favorite fuzzy, tube-shaped beds-cozy and tucked away, just the way she likes it. Small in size but huge in personality, Marylou is a shining example of what happens when a monkey finally gets the life she was meant to live-full of freedom, flavor, and just the right amount of sass.
