Toad

Species: Cotton-Top Tamarin
Background: Former Lab
Date of Birth: 8/8/2006
Arrival Date: 04/22/2015
Toad arrived at Jungle Friends in April 2015 as part of a group of 33 cotton-top tamarins rescued after the closure of a laboratory. Having lived his entire life indoors, the great outdoors was a brand-new adventure, and Toad dove right in! He was one of the very first in his group to step outside, and he's never looked back.

Goofy, nosy, and endlessly active, Toad is always on the move. His long runway stretches through Munchkinland, and he treats it like his personal racetrack – – – zipping back and forth with wild energy – – – and looking absolutely delighted every step of the way. He loves to climb the branches of the crape myrtle in his habitat, usually to spy on his neighbors from above. Grapes are his absolute favorite treat, and he's never shy about letting caregivers know when it's snack time.

At night, Toad often chooses to cozy up in a fuzzy hanging bed, where he dreams of the next day's antics. While he's a total goofball most of the day, Toad has a protective streak, always keeping an eye on those around him and ready to spring into action if needed.

With his big personality and boundless curiosity, Toad reminds us that even the goofiest monkeys can have the biggest hearts.
