Young Leo’s journey to Jungle Friends started with a fib. A man contacted the sanctuary, claiming he had found a capuchin monkey running loose and captured him. But as we dug deeper, it turned out that was not the truth. Facebook photos revealed that Young Leo wasn’t a random runaway; he was actually the man’s own pet, which had been surrendered under false pretenses.

Once he arrived at Jungle Friends, Young Leo embraced his new "almost wild" life. No longer confined to a cage or backyard, he’s now in a place where he can fully express his capuchin energy and he's found his perfect match in Daisy.

Daisy’s story is one of true escape. She was discovered running loose in Kentucky and, like Leo, was just a youngster when she arrived at the sanctuary. From the moment they met, it was clear these two were meant to be. Their bond was instant. They spend their days wrestling and their nights snuggled close, enjoying the warmth of friendship. Their play is nonstop, full of capuchin antics and giggles, and at its heart is a deep companionship.

For Young Leo, life is about new beginnings and real friendships. His days are now filled with joy, trust, and endless play with Daisy by his side. A far cry from the uncertain past he’s left behind.
