Wanda arrived at Jungle Friends at six years old after the passing of her longtime companion at another sanctuary. Her caregivers wanted her to have the chance to meet new friends and build new bonds, and the move turned out to be exactly what she needed. Though shy at first, Wanda quickly found comfort among her new monkey neighbors, and she now enjoys spending her days grooming, playing, and cuddling up with the friends she’s made here.

While Wanda is naturally a little nervous, her gentle heart shines through the moment she spots someone she likes. She lets out an unmistakable, high-pitched happy scream—one so enthusiastic it can startle even those who know her well. She’ll place her hand over her heart as she flirts from a distance, a gesture that seems to say, “You! I like you!” It’s one of the most endearing greetings at the sanctuary.

Soft-spirited, affectionate, and full of charm, Wanda brings warmth to everyone lucky enough to earn her trust. She has truly found her place at Jungle Friends, surrounded by friends—both monkey and human—who adore her for exactly who she is.
