If comfort had a face, it might look a lot like Christopher, who finds joy in calm, peaceful moments and soft blankets. Originally from North Carolina, Christopher spent many years without other monkeys after the loss of his biological sister. Even so, he carried a quiet resilience that became clear the moment he arrived at Jungle Friends, along with a gentle charisma that quickly won everyone over.

Shortly after his arrival, Christopher was diagnosed with a thyroid condition. With daily medication and attentive care, he is doing very well, a reminder that monkeys, like people, can experience many of the same health challenges and thrive with proper support.

One of Christopher’s greatest joys is relaxing in his bedroom, burrowed into a pile of soft blankets like a true master of comfort. If there were an award for “coziest capuchin,” he would win without question. He often peeks out from beneath a blanket with an expression that suggests he’s perfectly content right where he is.

Not long after settling in, Christopher formed a close bond with Macy. The two make a beautifully balanced pai r— Macy’s energetic spirit and high grooming standards paired with Christopher’s patient, attentive nature. Together, they groom, forage, and explore, often breaking into playful bursts of adventure. Whether cuddled under blankets or swinging alongside Macy, Christopher radiates kindness, comfort, and quiet joy.
