Meet Macy, a monkey with star power, a playful streak, and a very confident sense of style. If you walk past her habitat, don’t be surprised if she reaches out toward you, fully convinced you must be carrying a snack just for her. Macy has a cheeky charm and knows exactly how to use it.

Macy’s life didn’t start easily. She was born into the exotic pet trade and taken from her mother when she was only three days old. Her guardian, who worked for the breeder at the time, witnessed firsthand how unfair and damaging that world could be. Wanting a better future for Macy, she made the compassionate decision to remove her from a life of breeding and exploitation.

As the years passed, it became clear that Macy needed more than a human could provide. After many heartfelt conversations and a visit to Jungle Friends, her guardian chose the best option for Macy—a place where she could live among other monkeys and truly be herself.

At Jungle Friends, Macy has blossomed. She thrives in the company of her companion Christopher and carries herself like the glamorous capuchin she is. Playful, confident, and endlessly entertaining, Macy is also one of our talented artists, creating paintings as one of Jungle Friends’ own “monkey Picassos.” At the end of the day, she settles in beside Christopher, surrounded by comfort, friendship, and plenty of sparkle.
